The health of Kobe Bryant has been the big topic for Lakers fans to follow this summer.
After rupturing his Achilles tendon during a game in April, he has been working hard to return and occasionally keeping fans posted with updates on social media.
On Monday, the L.A. Times reported that Bryant is "expected to miss the Lakers' entire eight-game preseason schedule," and that it was unknown if he would be ready for the Oct. 29 season-opener against the Clippers.
On Tuesday, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reported that the Lakers won't issue a target date for Bryant's return until he "commences full weight-bearing running and on-court basketball activites," at the earliest. There was no mention of when that might happen, but Lakers spokesman John Black told Trudell that Bryant is progressing well and "has met all the targets and milestones in his rehabilitation."
