Kids give Metta World Peace tips on how to make friends

Sometimes the best advice comes from the most innocent. A perfect example comes from the latest "Metta World Therapy" video on The NOC.

If you’re unfamiliar with the series, it is a collection of videos featuring Lakers forward Metta World Peace, who sits on a couch and solicits advice from children on a variety of subjects. It’s funny and cute, and you can see that Metta has a natural talent for dealing with kids.

In the most recent episode, the Lakers forward asks his “therapists” for advice on how to make friends. The answers are simple enough – perfect actually. Basically it boils down to this:

  • Simply ask them to be your friend.
  • If they say no, ask someone else.
  • When you ask, use a “nice” voice.
  • Invite them to your house.
  • Share.

Sounds like good advice to me.

In one exchange, Metta asks his advisor “what if I don’t like to share?” To which she replies sagely: “Well, you better share.”

Enjoy …
